Hot water

Unvented cylinder installation

Unvented cylinders give you mains-pressure hot water at every outlet, ideal for larger properties and modern bathrooms. Installation must be carried out and certified by a G3-qualified engineer, which we are.

About this service

What this covers

An unvented cylinder is fed directly from the mains and pressurised, no cold-water tank in the loft, no gravity-fed limitations. The result is strong, balanced hot and cold pressure at every outlet.

Because the cylinder is under mains pressure with a stored volume of very hot water, installation is a G3-notifiable job and involves specific safety components, expansion vessel, PRV, T&P valve and tundish arrangement.
