A failed immersion often means no back-up hot water when the boiler is down. We replace elements and thermostats, and in hard-water areas we specify Incoloy elements that resist scale far longer than standard copper.

What this covers
The immersion is an electric heating element inside the cylinder that provides hot water independently of the boiler, either as the primary source (on Economy 7) or as a back-up.
In hard-water regions like Warwickshire, standard copper elements scale up fast and burn out. Incoloy elements are dramatically more scale-resistant and are the correct choice locally.
